How We Research & Rate Family-Building Benefits
The Teal Elephant Family-Building Benefits Directory is a free public resource designed to help job seekers make more informed decisions about where they work. We research and rate employer benefits across fertility treatments, parental leave, adoption support, surrogacy assistance, and more.
This directory is independent. We are not paid by employers to be listed, and listings do not constitute an endorsement of any company's culture, policies, or practices.

How Companies Are Added
Companies are added based on public interest and workforce size. We prioritize large employers with significant US workforces across technology, finance, healthcare, retail, and media. Companies do not pay to be listed in the directory.
RESEARCH
How We Collect Data
Each listing is researched using one or more of the following methods:
Company Outreach
We contacted the company’s HR or communications team directly and received confirmed information.
Public Source Only
Information was gathered from official careers pages, benefits documentation, press releases, and reputable news coverage.
Employee Report
Information was provided by a current or former employee and has not been independently verified.
data quality
Confidence Levels
Every listing displays a confidence level indicating how reliable we believe the data to be.
High
Multiple sources confirm the same information, including at least one official company source. Data is recent (within 18 months).
Medium
Information comes from credible public sources or employee reports but has not been directly confirmed by the company.
Low
Limited public information is available. These listings are included for awareness but should be verified before relying on them.

What This Directory Cannot Tell You
Benefits vary significantly by role, location, employment type, and tenure. What a corporate employee receives may differ entirely from what a store associate, part-time worker, or contractor receives. State laws may provide leave that exceeds or differs from company policy. We note these distinctions where known but cannot guarantee completeness.

Companies can pursue Teal Elephant Certification — a paid audit program that provides a verified, in-depth review of family-building benefits, policies, and workplace culture. Certified companies are independently verified and displayed prominently in the directory.
Certification is separate from the free listing and does not influence whether a company appears in the directory.
