Workplace Allyship Readiness scale
The Workplace Allyship Readiness scale is a multidimensional instrument assessing individuals’ cognitive, emotional, and behavioral readiness to engage in allyship. Drawing on social identity theory and allyship development models, the authors identify four dimensions: Apathy, Privilege Awareness, Emotional Readiness, and Supportive Engagement, which together define what it means to be ready to act as an ally. The scale demonstrates strong reliability and factorial validity. This tool enables organizations to identify developmental needs, evaluate training outcomes, and distribute DEI responsibility more equitably across all employees.Researchers: Dr. Nohelia Argote*, Dr. Gloria González-Morales & Dr. Larry Martinez
